Help & Support

Step-by-step help for everything in NonaPlay. Tap a question to open it.

Getting started

How do I create my account?

NonaPlay is invite-only. Your coach or team manager sends you a personal invite link, by email or message.

  1. Open your invite link. You can switch the page to English, Spanish or Portuguese at the top.
  2. Enter your name, email and a password.
  3. Choose whether you are the player's parent/guardian or the player.
  4. Agree to the Terms of use and Privacy policy, then create your account.

Each invite is made for one child and works once. Please don't forward it. Invites expire after 14 days; if yours has, ask your coach for a new one.

I have more than one child on the team (or on two teams)
  1. Open the invite for your other child.
  2. Enter the same email and password you already use.
  3. That child is added to your existing account. No second account needed.

If your children are on different teams, a team switcher appears at the top of the app so you can move between them.

How do I sign in later?

Go to the NonaPlay app or website and tap Sign in. Use the email and password you chose when you accepted your invite.

Forgot your password? Contact support (at the bottom of this page) and we'll help you get back in.

Install the iPhone app
  1. Open the App Store link below on your iPhone, or search for NonaPlay in the App Store.
  2. Tap Get, then open the app.
  3. Sign in with your email and password.
  4. Allow notifications when asked.
Open in the App Store →
Add NonaPlay to your home screen

You can also install NonaPlay from the website so it opens like any other app.

  1. iPhone or iPad: open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
  2. Android: open the site in Chrome, tap Install when the banner appears, or open the menu (⋮) and choose Install app.
  3. Open NonaPlay from the new icon on your home screen.

On iPhone, notifications from the website only work once NonaPlay is added to your home screen and opened from there.

Turn on notifications

Notifications tell you when a game starts, the moment the team scores (with the live score), at halftime and full time, and when a new game video is ready.

  1. Open the Account tab.
  2. Turn on the Notifications switch.
  3. Tap Allow when your phone or browser asks.

On a computer, you can also use the bell icon at the top of the page. Notifications arrive in the language you chose on your Account page.

Watching games

Find a game

The Matches tab shows the next game at the top (opponent, date, time, field, home or away), then the latest games grouped by league games, tournaments and scrimmages.

  1. Tap See all to open the full list.
  2. Search by opponent or title, or filter by season, tournament and game type.
  3. Switch between Newest first and Oldest first.
Watch the full game and jump to key moments
  1. Open a game from the Matches tab.
  2. Press play on the video.
  3. Under Timeline, tap a goal, save, corner or other moment and the video jumps to just before it happened.

Some games link to a YouTube video instead of playing in the app. They work the same way.

Watch fullscreen
  1. Tap the expand icon in the top-right corner of the video.
  2. Use the Key Moments list beside the video to jump around.
  3. Tap Exit fullscreen to return.

In the iPhone app, fullscreen turns to landscape automatically and goes back to portrait when you close it.

Download a full game

When the team has made a game available to download, a Download full video button appears under the video. Tap it to save the file.

Who can see that I watched?

Everyone sees how many times a game has been played. Only the team's coaches and managers can see who watched.

Goal clips

Where are the goal clips?

Every goal is automatically cut into a short clip of about 20 seconds once the game video is in the app. Clips appear on the game page and on the scorer's profile (and the assisting player's) under Highlights.

A clip can say Preparing clip… for a few minutes after the video is added.

Share or download a clip
  1. Find the clip on the game page or the player's profile.
  2. Tap Share to send a link by message, email or any app. If your device can't share, the link is copied for you.
  3. Tap Download to save the clip to your phone or computer.

Anyone with the shared link can watch that one clip without an account. The shared page doesn't show player names.

Schedule and stats

See the team's stats
  1. On the Matches tab, tap See full stats.
  2. Pick a season, or All-time.
  3. See the record, win rate, goals for and against, goal difference, clean sheets, home and away records and penalty shootouts, plus each player's goals, assists and appearances.

Only games that have been played and have a final score count. Upcoming games never affect the stats.

See a player's stats
  1. Open the Players tab.
  2. Tap a player to see their goals, assists, appearances and highlights.

Players and profiles

Edit your child's (or your own) profile
  1. Go to Account, then My Players (or My Profile if you are the player). You can also open the player from the Players tab and tap Edit profile.
  2. Tap the photo to choose a new one and crop it.
  3. Fill in favorite position, favorite team, birthdate and a fun fact.
  4. Save.

Name, jersey number and position on the roster are set by the team. Ask your coach if they need to change.

See the roster

The Players tab shows every player and the team's coaches and managers. Tap anyone to open their profile.

Sharing photos and videos

Share a photo, video or link on a game
  1. Open the game.
  2. Under Photos & Videos, tap to add a post.
  3. Choose a photo (up to 10 MB) or a video (up to 300 MB), or paste a YouTube or Instagram link.
  4. Add a caption and tag the players in it.
  5. Share. The post also appears on the tagged players' profiles.
Edit or remove my post

On your own post, tap Edit to change the caption or tags, or Remove to delete it. Removing can't be undone.

Account and settings

Change the language
  1. Open the Account tab.
  2. Under Language, tap English, Español or Português.

The app, emails and notifications all switch to that language.

Dark mode

NonaPlay follows your device's light or dark setting. Change it in your phone's or computer's display settings.

Sign out
  1. Open the Account tab.
  2. Tap Sign out.
Delete my account

This removes your login, your notification settings and your link to your players. Photos and videos you shared stay with the game without your name. Your child's player profile belongs to the team and isn't removed. This can't be undone.

  1. Open the Account tab and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Tap Delete my account, then confirm.

Privacy and safety

Report a post
  1. On the post, tap Report.
  2. Choose why: inappropriate or offensive, privacy concern, spam, or something else.
  3. A team admin reviews it and can remove the post.
Block or unblock someone
  1. On one of their posts, tap Block and confirm. You won't see their posts anymore.
  2. To undo it, open the Account tab, find Blocked members and tap Unblock.
Who can see our team's content?

Only people invited to your team can sign in and see its games, videos, players and posts. There's no public sign-up, no public profiles and no ads. The only thing visible outside the app is a goal clip someone chooses to share, and it shows no player names.

Troubleshooting

I'm not getting notifications
  1. Check that Notifications is on in the Account tab.
  2. On iPhone without the App Store app, make sure you opened NonaPlay from your home screen icon, not from Safari.
  3. Check your phone's settings: Notifications → NonaPlay (or your browser) must be allowed, and Focus / Do Not Disturb must be off.
  4. Turn the switch off and on again in the Account tab.
My invite link doesn't work

The page will say whether the invite was already used or has expired. Ask your coach for a new link. If you already have an account, just sign in.

A video won't play or a game has no video

Videos are added after the game. A game without a video yet shows its details and timeline only. If a video won't start, check your connection, close and reopen the app, and try again. Large videos may take a moment to begin on slow connections.

I signed in but don't see my team

Your account isn't linked to a player on a team yet. Open the invite link your coach sent and sign in there with the same email and password, or ask your coach for a new invite.

For coaches and managers

These tools appear in the Admin tab for team managers, coaches and admins.

Roster and invites

Add a player, coach or manager
  1. Go to Admin → Roster.
  2. Pick Player, Coach or Manager, type the jersey number (optional) and name, then tap Add.
  3. To change a name, number or position later, edit it on that person's row.
Invite a parent or player
  1. Go to Admin → Roster and find the player.
  2. Tap Generate invite link and send it yourself (team chat, text), or type the parent's email, choose the email language and tap Send invite email.
  3. When they accept, the row shows who is linked.

Invites work once and expire after 14 days. For a second parent, generate another invite after the first one is used. Revoke invite cancels a link that hasn't been used. If the email already belongs to an account, that account's language is used.

See who has notifications and the app

Admin → Roster → Accounts lists everyone connected to your team, which players they're linked to, whether notifications are on, and whether the app is installed (detected the next time they open it from the home screen).

Remove from team takes away someone's access to this team's players, games and videos; their account stays. Managers are added and removed on the Teams page instead.

Team, seasons and tournaments

Rename the team
  1. Go to Admin → Team.
  2. Change Team name and tap Save.
Add a season
  1. Go to Admin → Team and tap Add season.
  2. Enter a name (e.g. 2026/2027), a start date and an end date.

Games in that date range are grouped under the season automatically. Stats can be viewed per season.

Add a tournament
  1. Go to Admin → Team and tap Add tournament.
  2. Enter the name, start date, and optionally an end date and location.
  3. Attach games to it when you create or edit them. Each tournament gets its own section on the Matches tab.
Import the schedule from a calendar file
  1. Export your schedule as an .ics file (from your league site, Google Calendar, TeamSnap, etc.).
  2. Go to Admin → Team and tap Import games (.ics).
  3. Choose the file and review the games found. Pick a tournament if they belong to one, and check Import as drafts if you want to review them before families see them.
  4. Tap Import.

Games

Schedule a game
  1. Go to Admin → Games and tap + Add game.
  2. Fill in the title, opponent, home or away, date and time, location and type (league, tournament or scrimmage), and the season or tournament.
  3. Add notes for parents if you like. Leave the video and score empty until after the game.
  4. Save. The game shows up as the Next game for families.
Drafts and publishing

A draft game is hidden from parents. Use Publish / Unpublish on the game in Admin → Games. The "new video is ready" notification goes out the first time a published game has a video.

Filter the list by type and by Published / Draft. Badges show games with no video yet, upcoming games, videos processing and live games.

Enter the score, roster and goal scorers
  1. In Admin → Games, tap Edit on the game.
  2. Enter our score and their score (and penalty kicks if there was a shootout).
  3. Under Game roster, check who played and how many goals each scored.
  4. Save. Player stats update right away.

If you recorded the game live, the score and scorers are already filled in from the recording.

Recording a game live

Record a game from the sideline
  1. Open the game and tap Record game (or tap Record on it in Admin → Games).
  2. Tap KICK OFF at the first whistle. Families get a "game started" notification.
  3. Our goal → tap the scorer's jersey number (or Not sure yet). Their goal is one tap.
  4. Right after a goal, you can add the assist from the chips under the Undo bar. Undo removes a mistake within 10 seconds.
  5. Use Shot, Save, Foul, Corner, Free Kick and Penalty for the other moments.
  6. Tap Halftime, then Start 2nd half, then Full time. Halftime and full time send the score to families.

Every tap shows immediately and is saved in the background. With no signal, taps wait on your phone (even if you reload) and are sent later with the time they really happened.

When do families hear about a goal?

About 10 seconds after you tap it, so you have time to undo a mistake. A goal that reaches the server more than 10 minutes late is saved but not announced. Goals added later from the video are never announced.

Penalty shootouts, fixing a scorer, and reopening

If the game ends tied, a Penalty kicks panel appears after Full time to record the shootout. Tap a recorded goal to change the scorer or assist. Reopen game puts the clock back if you ended it by mistake.

Game videos and highlights

Upload the game video
  1. In Admin → Games, tap Edit on the game.
  2. Tap Upload video and choose the file (up to 5 GB). Keep the page open until the upload finishes.
  3. NonaPlay then adds the score overlay and watermark. Progress shows on the game; you can leave the page during processing.
  4. When it's done, goal clips are cut automatically and families are notified (if the game is published).

Replace video swaps in a new file; the previous video stays live until the new one is ready. Instead of uploading, you can paste an unlisted YouTube URL, and add a downloadable file link (e.g. Google Drive) so families can download the game.

Line up the video with a live recording
  1. Open the game page and play the video.
  2. Pause on the first whistle, open Line up the video with the live recording and tap Kickoff is here.
  3. If the camera kept recording through halftime, pause where the second half starts and tap 2nd half starts here.

Every live event moves to its place in the video and goal clips are re-cut. Each event starts 10 seconds before the tap, so playback opens on the build-up.

Add events while watching the video
  1. Open the game page and play the video.
  2. When a moment happens, tap Our goal, Their goal, or Shot, Save, Foul, Corner, Free Kick or Penalty under the video.
  3. For our goals, pick the scorer and (optionally) the assist.
  4. Tap Undo on the confirmation if you made a mistake.
Add or remove a bookmark by hand
  1. In Admin → Games, tap Edit on the game and scroll to Bookmarks.
  2. Type a label and the time in the video (mm:ss); for a goal, choose the scorer and assist.
  3. To remove one, use Remove on its row. Removing a goal also adjusts the score and that player's goal count.
See who watched

The game's Edit page lists who has watched the video. Everyone else only sees the total play count.

Reported posts

Review reported posts
  1. Go to Admin → Reports.
  2. For each report, see the post, the reason, who posted it and who reported it.
  3. Remove the post, or Dismiss report if it's fine.

To stop someone from posting, remove them under Admin → Roster → Accounts.

Teams and managers (platform admin)

Create a team and add managers
  1. Go to Admin → Teams (only the platform admin sees this tab).
  2. Type a team name and tap Create team.
  3. On the team's card, add a manager by email. If they don't have an account yet, send them the sign-up link shown on the card.

Each team has its own players, games, seasons and videos. Managers run their own team; only the platform admin creates teams and picks managers.
